Cairns Memorial Gardens
Our Memorial Gardens have been Cairns best kept secret for many years. We often hear from individuals how amazed they are at the tranquil and peaceful setting they find here. Our aim has always been to create a dignified and picturesque surroundings where families can come to pay respect to the memory of their loved ones.
If you’ve never considered the possibility of a garden memorial before, then we encourage you and your family to visit our gardens and find out for yourselves what’s on offer.
The often sad fact of cremation is, that ashes of loved ones can either end up hidden away on shelves in the back of cupboards, or scattered to forgotten locations. A garden memorial is one option to help keep your loved one’s memory in a central location where all family members for generations to come can visit.

Options For You
All of our memorials, (excluding the Granite Book of Remembrance), are available for full, partial or no ashes at all. Any person can create a memorial for their beloved friend or family member, or reserve a site for themselves.
Most people are familiar with this type of memorial. Traditionally, niche walls were the accepted way to create a memorial for their loved one’s ashes, particularly if the thought of a garden memorial held no appeal.
Our gardens host two different walls, creating a simple and easy to access memorial. Single and double sites are available.
Our beautiful memorial gardens cover a large area and can be divided up into 2 different types.
We have many large garden beds, such as ‘Lilly Pilly Lane’ and ‘Peaceful Cove’, to choose from.
This is the simplest style of memorial, as the plaques are simply placed around the edges of the established gardens, with the option of interring ashes directly underneath the plaque.
We also have a Garden Border option on selected gardens, where the plaque is placed on the garden edging itself.
Family garden memorials are designed for two people, but are large enough to include other family members if required.
- Family Edge garden memorials are individual spaces around a large, central garden with space to add your own personal touches.
- Individual Family gardens provide the opportunity to design your own garden, including plant choices. Create a living memorial for your loved ones.
Scattering the ashes of a loved one, is one way for families to say goodbye. It is an expression of their love that they are willing to ‘release to the four winds’. For this purpose, our ‘Birds Nest Scatter Garden’ can be the appropriate place to do so. Hidden away beside our central ‘lake,’ it is a calming location for families to gather and be involved in such an intimate act of love.
